Intro & Hours

If any of our policies cause difficulties for your organization then please advise us and we will do everything possible to accommodate your needs!

DNL's Standard Office Hours are 7am to 4pm on business days.
DNL's Standard Delivery Hours are 7am to 3pm on business days.

Hot Fare Afterhours pricing with upgraded desserts is in effect outside these delivery times.
Breakfast deliveries before 7am have a $25 per hour early setup fee.

Many of our meals have a minimum of 10 diners for our local free delivery area. This minimum is in effect during our normal business hours up to 5 pm. Afterhour minimums are as follows:

Weekdays after 5 pm $500
Saturdays $500
Sundays, Holidays $1000

Orders may be placed with one-day, two-day or longer lead times depending on the nature of the event. Large parties require 1 week notice. If you have a last minute meeting we will try to accommodate although there is a 10% ($50 minimum) expedite charge and we may need to make reasonable ingredient substitutions.

One day notice is defined as before noon the business day before the event. Two day notice is defined as before noon the second business day before the event. One week notice is defined as the last business day at least one week before the event.

Cancellations within the above notice times will incur a 25% charge of the total amount of the invoice.

A 20 minute delivery window is required. Breakfast and lunch pick-ups are generally the same day although other arrangements may be made with the office.

Payments in full are due net 15 days after the date of event on approved accounts. Orders placed before credit is approved must be paid C.O.D. or by credit card; Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. B-B-Q’s and Large Parties (100 diners or over $1000.00) have deposits due earlier as quoted.

All orders are subject to sales tax unless (1) this is a valid non-taxable event, and (2) we are provided with a California tax-exempt number (charities, schools, religious organizations).

Types of Service

Disposable Tableware is included, no charge, with all DNL orders (unless china is rented). This includes all the items that diners need to complete their meal: Sturdy foam plates or plastic Hor D'Oeuvre plates, heavy-duty plastic utensils, 2-ply dinner napkins or cocktail napkins.

All deliveries include setup of food items, hot foods are delivered in hot boxes and cold foods are chilled.

Typical meals are set up on buffets with linen, chafers (warmers), baskets, trays and serving pieces. DNL cleans up the buffet afterwards. (Box meals are setup with all-disposables, no pickup afterwards.) There are no additional charges for this service.

Barbeques may be ordered as a disposable drop-off, with linen service & pickup, or with on-site cooking (as explained in the BBQ section).

For special events DNL can set up a Managed Buffet where servers stay to maintain the buffet and help the diners, Plated Sit-down(Table Service) where chefs and servers plate the meals and deliver them to seated diners, or Passing where servers circulate with the guests presenting appetizers.

On-site cooking is available for BBQs (we provide the grill) or for formal dining where the venue has an approved kitchen.

Special Diets

DNL caters to all special diets: Vegetarian and Vegan, Kosher-style and Strict Kosher, Hallel-style and Strict Hallel. Please ask for Steve to explain our procedures for assuring these dietary requirements.

Allergies

DNL will investigate ingredients and keep separation in food preparation for allergies. Common food allergies include nuts, peanuts, peppers and many others. Please advise us of any allergies at the time the order is placed.
